Dear Students I will be taking a sabbatical from teaching for an extended
period to address a personal family issue and to step fully
onto my healing path.It is one of my passions to bring the healing
power of yoga and meditation to men, and to that end the Men’s
Yoga Tribe has begun a movement that is building and will grow yoga
for men.
Men have the right the need and the responsibility to heal, grow
and evolve. A man stepping forward with courage to work with other
men in yoga for men classes is a powerful step to reclaiming health
and happiness. Ask your yoga studio to offer yoga for men classes
taught by a man. I am sure if enough men ask for classes the studio
will start one. Don’t wait act today…ask for yoga for
men today.
Here are a few suggestions to help you continue your yoga practice.
• I recommend: taking yoga classes at a yoga studio as opposed
to at your gym. Even though gym classes may be less expensive you
are more likely to get better personal attention at a yoga studio
•Take an intro course; this is usually a series of yoga classes
designed specifically for beginner yoga students.
• Give a new class 3 or 4 tries, if the class or the teacher
doesn’t excite you and the class doesn’t make you feel
better try another class.
• For men I recommend yoga classes that have a lot of slow
stretching so that you can slowly learn about your body and begin
to relax. Yin Yoga is a style that will help you to stretch and
relax
• Even though I am stepping out of the role of teacher I am
with you on the healing path.
